If I hadn't read them already, I'd opt for the large format "definitive" edition of both books together.collectededitionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14698269790653953645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-35355610636769896922013-09-26T02:49:54.173-05:002013-09-26T02:49:54.173-05:00I've seen a hardback version of the series has...I've seen a hardback version of the series has since been released (in 2010) titled 'Luthor'. The solicits mention additional content and certain re-arrangements done to the original. Which edition would you recommend?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-1146802503803713622006-05-04T23:15:00.000-05:002006-05-04T23:15:00.000-05:00Thanks for the review. The new Superman trailer just had me thinking on my blog about why Luthor hates Superman... there are so many versions and I'm always looking for new interpretations, so I might pick this up.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-1146452775786524472006-04-30T22:06:00.000-05:002006-04-30T22:06:00.000-05:00I actually did sorta feel sorry for Lex. He's taken it upon himself to be this martyr for humanity (though of course he won't actually kill himself, he gets other people to do that for him), sacrificing personal happiness to show what a danger Superman really is (though I suppose that is also a reflection of his gigantic ego). It tied in quite nicely too with the Superman/Batman fight (the way such a fight really ought to go!), reinforcing Superman's indestructibility, and futile as though fighting him may be, the tiniest of victories might just be enough.

Has it been confirmed that it's "out of continuity" or whatever? That would be a shame.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
