I guess my biggest complaint was that the conceit would have been really clever if the Scrooge metaphor weren't mentioned on every page (and it's a bit of a stretch, to be honest). I loved the role of the three ghosts, and Joker as Christmas Future is downright chilling,Zach Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17905320964723323391noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-69443326097236583422012-03-09T11:51:43.407-06:002012-03-09T11:51:43.407-06:00Thank you.

For instance, Wayne encounters actual ghosts in the Halloween special, and the focus is more on how Wayne can use his wealth to do good.

This, coupled with the rushed pacing due to a shorter length (about 50 pages), made it less effective than "Noel" was.

The Loeb/Sale story is by no means a bad one- and it plants the seeds of the Wayne Foundation - but there's no doubt in my mind that "Noel" is far more successful an adaptation.Zaid Alawihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09364426061225738112noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-31246028216498901592012-03-09T08:07:41.390-06:002012-03-09T08:07:41.390-06:00Great review! Do the similarities stop with the source material?Zach Kinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17905320964723323391noreply@blogger.com
