It is so popular because it's 12 issues of Jim Lee art & Jeph Loeb put basically everyone bat-villain in it. There isn't a great story it is more a best of villains w/ JIm Lee art.Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14105824639464431432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-6790125482369281072016-02-04T21:13:13.781-06:002016-02-04T21:13:13.781-06:00Multiversity was without a doubt the best mini ser...Multiversity was without a doubt the best mini series of last year!Benhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14105824639464431432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-3756574899708644322016-02-04T21:12:44.028-06:002016-02-04T21:12:44.028-06:00Wally West is the definitive Flash, the Geoff John...Wally West is the definitive Flash, the Geoff Johns collections are great but DC needs to get on the ball & collect the Mark Waid run. Get these books.

BATMAN ADVENTURES Volumes #1-3- Kelley Puckett, Mike Parobeck, and Rick Burchett give us a multi-layered Batman. You get: the detective, the escape artist, the avenger, the manhunter, and the crusader. Plus you get the best Commissioner Gordon story since BATMAN: YEAR ONE in Vol #2's "Badge of Honor".
And Mike Parobeck's art is nothing short of magnificent. Now if we can get DC to wise up and put Parobeck's Justice Society run in trade.

GIL KANE'S UNDERSEA AGENT- I get this for myself because I am a Gil Kane fan. It was worth it.

FLASH GORDON, On The Planet Mongo- OMG I get it. Alex Raymond deserves every pencil line of his much revered reputation. Marvel's humor can be hit-or-miss for me, especially the non-stop bickering in their team books, but everything here felt organic and really economical in terms of squeezing ever ounce of comedic potential from the comic page.

My favorite books I bought this year have been IDW's Wonder Woman newspaper strip collection, Cowboy Henk (that one was a pain to find but beyond worth it), the Complete Eightball, the Simon & Kirby Library Superheroes hardcover and the John Romita Artist/Artifact Editions.Emeric Salzberghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11071320554875808157noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-25383067439812636672015-12-25T19:16:35.582-06:002015-12-25T19:16:35.582-06:00I got Green Lantern/Green Arrow trade by Neal Adam...I got Green Lantern/Green Arrow trade by Neal Adams. Haven't read it yet but it looks like it'll be amazing, and a great trip. Barnes and Noble has a buy 2 get 1 free for Marvel and DC titles so I took advantage of this and bought Batman: Hush, which was good but I don't really understand why everyone praises it, and The Flash by Geoff Johns Book 1 and am really loving Wally West as Flash. And then I bought Flashpoint as a gift for my cousin :) Oh, and also got the Stan Lee biography that's a graphic novel.Codyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17178727978311013660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-323823090020023922015-12-25T09:38:17.516-06:002015-12-25T09:38:17.516-06:00I (finally) got the Roger Stern Spider-man omnibus...I (finally) got the Roger Stern Spider-man omnibus. I'm not very far into it, but it's pretty fantastic. The letter pages are included, and the intro by Mr Stern is pretty interesting - there's a great anecdote about ASM #206.
