Two acts in you should already have noticed some of the huge liberties taken with Batman's character and how his integrity is seriously compromised by the events in this arc. You definitely noticed the just plain bad writing. Really art and story wise this story was very shoddy. Just a sloppy, badly thought out way to get from point A to B. At least point B, the result of all three acts, is quite interesting and does set things up for a future that by now regular readers will know Judd Winick is chronicling admirably. And then there is the general feeling of how the excessive darkness of DC the last few years plays in to a larger Crisis, which helps a bit. Hope my take was spoiler-free enough.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-1125625081616589742005-09-01T20:38:00.000-05:002005-09-01T20:38:00.000-05:00Evan -- I agree with you on both counts. We'll see.

Thanks for commenting!collectededitionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14698269790653953645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-1125518658261205542005-08-31T15:04:00.000-05:002005-08-31T15:04:00.000-05:00We seem to be reading the same books lately. I think the changing art styles throughout the book just threw me off for some reason. However, Black Reign was a great read. Geoff Johns has been doing amazing work on JSA from the very beginning.Evanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15990041059524269079noreply@blogger.com
