The Englehart/Lim/Starlin era Silver Surfer hasn't received enough reprint love (just Rebirth of Thanos to my knowledge).Bob Youngnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-36911017951097932172012-08-08T11:26:40.207-05:002012-08-08T11:26:40.207-05:00It's probably the best universal crossover Mar...It's probably the best universal crossover Marvel has ever done.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-9945849094963340472012-08-08T11:10:15.580-05:002012-08-08T11:10:15.580-05:00To me, this mini series remains the golden standar...To me, this mini series remains the golden standard for Marvel events. It may not have changed their universe's status quo in a significant way, but it featured pretty much all of their greatest heroes against their most fascinating villain in the most spectacular super-hero battle I've ever seen. That's what I read Marvel Comics for, not heroes acting like jerks and fighting each other for the flimsiest of reasons.

And as much as people complain about the fact that George Perez couldn't draw the whole thing, Ron Lim did the best work of his career in this mini series.shagamuhttp://mbbforum.com/mbbnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-10430633719161958772012-08-08T10:46:00.182-05:002012-08-08T10:46:00.182-05:00Fixed!Fixed!collectededitionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14698269790653953645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-33234718358946818052012-08-08T10:37:10.497-05:002012-08-08T10:37:10.497-05:00Sorry, that was a writing error. For me, Batman Year One, Superman Man of Steel, and Suicide Squad were the immediate justifications of the COIE, and set up stellar runs for multiple titles. And I didn't miss the Pre-Crisis DCU at all after that.Bob Youngnoreply@blogger.com
