Good point — there's clearly an assumption here that the Batman/Superman readers will have gone to read Year of the Villain: The Infected or Hell Arisen, which really is not an assumption the title should make (not that Hell Arisen really cleared things up that well for the Infected anyway). I know the point is to sell more comics, but each series should be a self-contained reading experience in and of itself, or at least offer some form of recap.collectededitionshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14698269790653953645noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10945794.post-71450081076888727072021-05-17T09:24:45.615-05:002021-05-17T09:24:45.615-05:00Great review as always. I have to say what really bothered me about this run is that the first vol's storyline regarding the Secret Six is not followed up on in the second vol other than a passing mention. It's frustrating because Vol 1 was quite good, and left the reader wanting to find out what happened with the secret six. Vol 2, is jarring......though it has good stories that are well worth reading for some fun. I really enjoy Joshua Williamson's writing on Nailbiter, Birthright, and the Flash, and enjoyed this volume as well, but I just wish they at least would have recapped what happened with the Secret Six.....Samir Davehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05803216539305240396noreply@blogger.com
