Comments ( 10 )

  1. Well, JLA vo.2 HC, SINESTRO WAR, CAMELOT FALLS vol. 2 and MANHUNTER vol. 4 (yay!) are "must haves" for me.

    ReplyDelete
  2. After last month's lackluster showing, this is much better, although some of the books I really want will only be available in February (!).

    ReplyDelete
  3. Manhunter and all the Showcases sounds about right for me.

I can't keep supporting Checkmate if it's going to crossover with the Outsiders.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Siskoid, sounds like there's no love there for Outsiders! I really liked Outsiders: The Good Fight; what don't you like about the series?

    ReplyDelete
  5. To be fair, I heard that CheckOut is pretty good. It'd certainly be the first Outsiders-related TPB that I'm getting.

    ReplyDelete
  6. Jeffrey, is that to say you've never read Outsiders, or just haven't read any of the trades? I'm very surprised; what's kept you away from Outsiders?

    ReplyDelete
  7. Oh, I don't know. I did read the first story arc and liked it quite a bit, but the second one left me cold, and I guess it just dropped off the radar for me. Plus Judd Winick doesn't exactly have a good rep (though First Thunder was really good).

    ReplyDelete
  8. Now that I think about it, CheckOut will be my first Outsiders story since 2003. Huh.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Jeffrey -- I'm curious about Judd Winick's reputation, because I've heard the same thing on the Newsarama boards, but I'm not quite sure what people don't like about his writing. Anyway, I've promoted this to a post, because I'm curious about this and I'd like to hear more from you and others.

    ReplyDelete
  10. If the JLA: Hypothetical Woman trade is going for $13 for six issues, then how can they charge the same price for the Superman: Redemption trade which has only four issues?!
