Super(Hero)-Tuesday 2008

I forget now where I heard this, but someone once said to me that DC Comics is more like the liberal Democrats and Marvel is more like the conservative Republicans. Ever heard that before?

I don't know if it's true or not, but it came to mind on this (American) Super-Tuesday. What do you think?

  1. Hmmm, that's odd. I would have thought the reverse for identifying them by party. Marvel has always seemed more liberal and DC the staid conservative.

But, that's just my opinion. :)

  2. Yeah, I have to agree with the word of jeff since Marvel always seems closer to the real world plus some of the views expressed Civil War tend to go more towards liberals.

  3. I don't know ... DC's reinvented their universe a couple times; would that be considered liberal? And then there's Vertigo; DC has a more diversified, "out there" publishing scheme overall, versus Marvel that sticks with the superhero genre that work for it. Anyway, interesting to consider.
