Overall, I’m pleased with the DC Comics Fall 2025 trade paperback and hardcover solicitations.
If we don’t see, for instance, volume two of the Robin: Tim Drake Compendium or some new collections series like the 1990s Eclipso or New Titans or something — that is, not a lot of new outside the tried and true — then I know at least there’s a bunch here that readers of this site have been waiting on for a while.
There is, a year later, the Flash by Joshua Williamson Omnibus Vol. 2, confirming that collections series will be continuing, because you can never be too careful. There is the Sandman Mystery Theatre Compendium Two, two years after the first compendium, eight years after the larger collection “books” died off, and 15 years after the last “regular” paperback collection, finally collecting the previously uncollected end of the series. A dedicated collection of Batman: Year Three. An omnibus of John Ostrander and Tom Mandrake's Spectre. And 14 years later, what I never thought I’d see, a full collection of Keith Giffen’s Doom Patrol, after DC released two stellar collections and then cancelled the third in the run up to the New 52. It’s verily an anything can happen moment, so I don’t have much to complain about.
One thing about these seasonal catalogs is that they give us a glimpse of the year to come, all the more prominent now that DC seems to be working in year by year plot schedules. And it’s shaping up to be a big year. Absolute Batman, Absolute Superman, Absolute Wonder Woman, Absolute Martian Manhunter, Absolute Green Lantern, and Absolute Flash collections, all before the end of the year. Batman: H2SH and Justice League Unlimited/World’s Finest: We Are Yesterday, also before the year ends.
And it looks like we’ve got three Batman: Brave and the Bold anthology collections coming before the end of the year; anthologies aren’t exactly front line books, but its predecessor, Batman: Urban Legends, averaged one to two volumes a year, so it feels like all of these collections are arriving with some momentum.
And then 2026 kicks off with the collection of Mark Waid’s New History of the DC Universe HC.
Finally, the DC Finest line is continuing impressively strong. Something like DC Finest: Events: Crisis on Infinite Earths was maybe an inevitability, but the range we’re seeing here, from Justice League Detroit to Peter David’s Supergirl to just-pre-Crisis “Red Skies” Batman. Any of these would be impressive collections on their own, and if DC needs the “DC Finest” label to bring them out, let’s have it.
I won’t keep you from the full list any longer. Take a look and let me know what you think!

That’s all the same as the original long-standing Haunted Knight collection, but the Absolute seems to also have Dark Victory #13 and Catwoman: When in Rome – a story which, perhaps confusingly for some, takes place much later than these specials (parallel to Long Halloween sequel Dark Victory), and which already had its own individual Absolute edition.

New printing of the Absolute collection of Batman #608–619, and the story from Wizard #0.

- • Batgirl Vol. 1: Mother TP
I’m so used to two Batgirls or Barbara-Gordon-as-Batgirl at this point that I’ve got some reservations about a Cassandra Cain-led series, though her last solo series was at times one of my favorites. Anyway, issues #1–6 by Tate Brombal and Takeshi Miyazawa, in paperback in August.
- • Batgirl: Stephanie Brown Vol. 2 (2025 Edition) TP
New printing of the final collection of Bryan Q. Miller’s Batgirl, issues #13–24, Bruce Wayne: The Road Home: Batgirl, and a story from Batman Incorporated: Leviathan Strikes. These are issues found in Batgirl: The Flood and Batgirl: The Lesson. Aw heck, I loved this series so much, here’s a link to my review of the first volume, Batgirl Rising.
- • Batman - Santa Claus: Silent Knight Returns TP
The five-issue sequel miniseries by Jeff Parker and Lukas Ketner, arriving December 16.
- • Batman '66 Compendium TP
Collects Batman '66 #1–30, Batman '66: The Lost Episode, and then a story from Mike Allred’s Solo #7. This is almost the same contents as the Batman '66 Omnibus, except without the Solo story. Someone tell me if this compendium’s got more than the omnibus in it.
- • Batman & Robin Adventures Vol. 1 TP
Resident BTAS expert Zach King can confirm further, but I think this is the same as the previous printing of this volume, collecting issues #1–10 by Paul Dini, Ty Templeton, and Rick Burchett. Zach reviewed Batman & Robin Adventures Vol. 1 as part of his look at the Batman: The Animated Series tie-in comic collections.
- • Batman & Superman in World's Finest: The Silver Age Omnibus Vol. 2 (New Edition) HC
Collects stories from World’s Finest Comics #117–158 from the mid-1950s and early 1960s, coming in January.

New edition of the classic animated-style comic by Paul Dini and Bruce Timm.
- • Batman and Robin: Year One HC
- • Batman and Robin: Year One TP
In hardcover in December, the 12-issue miniseries by Mark Waid and Chris Samnee.
- • Batman by Grant Morrison Book Two TP
Collects Batman #676–683 and #700, Batman & Robin #1–9, and DC Universe #0, being Batman: RIP and Batman and Robin Vol. 1: Batman Reborn, among others. There’s a definite DC All In bent to the (solicited) new cover with diagonal white corners and color center band.
- • Batman by Tom King Book Two TP
Collects Batman #21–43, Batman Annual #1–2, and Flash #21–22, being Batman/Flash: The Button, Batman Vol. 4: War of Jokes and Riddles, Batman Vol. 5: The Rules of Engagement, and almost all of Batman Vol. 6: Bride or Burglar? Here too we’ve got a distinctly DC All In-themed white-background cover.
- • Batman by Tom King Omnibus Vol. 1 HC
Speaking of covers, the solicited cover for this looks like an artist’s pencil sketch; interesting and informative, but I wonder if DC will keep it for the official cover. Collects Batman: Rebirth #1, Batman #1–24, Nightwing #5–6, Detective Comics #941–942, Flash #21–22, Batman Annual #1, and Batman/Elmer Fudd Special #1.
- • Batman RIP (New Edition) TP
Reprinting main Batman RIP story, issues #676–683, by Grant Morrison and Tony Daniel. I reviewed Batman RIP in 2009.
- • Batman: Arkham Asylum Living Hell Deluxe Edition (New Edition) HC
New collection of the six-issue miniseries by Dan Slott and Ryan Sook, coming in August. DC is very overtly marketing this in recognition of Slott’s new Superman Unlimited series.
- • Batman: Arkham Asylum: DC Compact Comics TP
Compact Comics edition of the Grant Morrison/Dave McKean classic. I wonder if there is any comic where DC doesn’t think the size/formatting would fit in the Compact size.
- • Batman: Black & White Compendium TP
Impressively, this seems to be all the Batman: Black & White-themed stories, dating back to the original four-issue miniseries in 1996 and including the Gotham Knights backups and the six-issue 2013 and 2021 miniseries. The list of creators here is epic, including Joe Kubert, Walter Simonson, Bruce Timm, Dennis O’Neil, Bill Sienkiewicz, Neal Adams, Sean Murphy, Rafael Grampá, Dwayne McDuffie, James Tynion, Bilquis Evely, Tom King, John Byrne, Mariko Tamaki, and Jim Lee. Lists as 1,216 pages and only $60, coming in October.
- • Batman: Dark Patterns Vol. 1 HC
First volume of the classic-toned miniseries by Dan Watters and Hayden Sherman, collecting issues #1–6 in September.
- • Batman: Detective Comics by Mariko Tamaki Omnibus HC
If not a flawless Batman run, Mariko Tamaki’s was quite admirable, and I’d venture to say way up there for a Detective run, if not a Batman run. Among this is the whole “Shadows of the Bat” Bat-family story that ran weekly, a credible disaster story set within the new Arkham Tower, and also Tamaki’s “Fear State” tie-in, which didn’t have much to do with “Fear State” but was an excellent horror tale involving Batman, Gotham’s mayor, and something lurking in the sewers. Plus Tamaki did a lot with Huntress Helena Bertinelli, and dig that cool new cover by Dan Mora. This is one I’d be interested in re-reading, really.
Collects Detective Comics #1027 and #1034–1061, Detective Comics 2021 Annual #1, Batman: Secret Files: Huntress #1, Future State: Dark Detective #1–4, Batman – One Bad Day: Two Face and stories from Batman Secret Files #3 and Batman: Black and White #5. See my reviews of Detective Vol. 1: The Neighborhood, Detective Vol. 2: Fear State, Detective Vol. 3: Arkham Rising, Batman: Shadows of the Bat: The Tower, Detective Vol. 4: Riddle Me This, and Batman – One Bad Day: Two-Face.
- • Batman: Gotham by Gaslight: DC Compact Comics Edition TP
Collects Batman: Gotham by Gaslight #1 and Batman: Master of the Future #1 by Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola; meanwhile there’s a sequel out next week.
- • Batman: H2SH HC
- • Batman: H2SH TP
Are we really going to call it “H2SH”? Sigh. All right, fine. Collects Batman #158–163 (and about a million variant covers) in hardcover and paperback in early December. Shaping up to be a wild end of the year.
- • Batman: Knightfall Omnibus Vol. 3: Knightsend (2025 Edition) HC
New printing of the third omnibus, collecting Batman #509–510 and #512–515, Batman: Shadow of the Bat #29–30 and #32–35, Detective Comics #676–677 and #679–682, Robin #8–9 and #11–14, Catwoman #12–13, Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight #62–63, Showcase '94 #10, Nightwing: Alfred’s Return #1, and Batman: Vengeance of Bane #2.
- • Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Across the Universe TP
Issues #13–16 of the anthology series, with Nightwing and Deadman by Tim Seeley and Kelley Jones; Booster Gold by Mark Russell and Jon Mikel; Batman and Guy Gardner by Joshua Hale Fialkov and Lisandro Estherren; and more.
- • Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Legends of Justice TP
Collects issues #7–13, with Karl Kerschl on a Gotham Academy story, Aquaman by Gabriel Hardman, Artemis by Delilah S. Dawson, Bat Lash by Christos Gage and Danny Kim, Sgt. Rock and the Creature Commandos by Michael W. Conrad and PJ Holden, and Signal Duke Thomas by Matt Harding and Mike Henderson.
- • Batman: The Brave and the Bold: Myths and Mysteries TP
Seems like DC’s getting a collection of these out every other month at the end of the year; this one arrives in December. Said to be issues #12 and #15–19, including Batman, Renee Montoya, Tim Drake and Damian Wayne, and John Constantine and … Streaky, the Super-Cat?!
- • Batman: The Demon Trilogy (2025 Edition) HC
New printing of the collection of Batman: Birth of the Demon, Batman: Bride of the Demon, and Batman: Son of the Demon. I offered some thoughts on Son of the Demon once upon a time around Infinite Crisis (some of you were there!).
- • Batman: The Long Halloween: DC Compact Comics Edition TP
Compact-size printing of the classic by Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale.
- • Batman: White Knight Presents: Generation Joker and Harley Quinn: The Deluxe Edition HC
The solicitation only lists the contents of Batman: White Knight Presents: Generation Joker, which I reviewed last year. Not sure if they’ve simply added “Harley Quinn” to the title of this volume or if this collects Katana Collins' Batman: White Knight Presents: Harley Quinn miniseries as well.
- • Batman: Year 100 (2025 Edition) TP
I have never read Paul Pope’s four-issue 2006 miniseries, but maybe this is my opportunity.
- • Batman: Year Three: The Deluxe Edition HC
For a long time uncollected, this was both a post-Crisis origin of Robin Dick Grayson by Marv Wolfman (co-creator with George Perez of the Nightwing persona), and also lead-in to “Lonely Place of Dying,” where Tim Drake became the third Robin. We finally saw the issues reprinted in Batman: The Caped Crusader Vol. 2, and now here’s the four-parter in its own volume. This is Batman #436–439 from 1989.
- • Batman/Superman: World's Finest Vol. 7: Total Eclipso HC
- • Batman/Superman: World's Finest Vol. 7: Total Eclipso TP
In hardcover in August, collecting issues #31–34 and, happily, the Green Lantern/Green Arrow: World’s Finest Special.
- • Birds of Prey by Gail Simone Omnibus Vol. 1 HC
Gail Simone’s instant classic run on Birds of Prey, coming in omnibus format in October. This is of issues #56–90 and Birds of Prey Secret Files 2003 #1, being Birds of Prey: Of Like Minds, Birds of Prey: Sensei and Student, Birds of Prey: Between Dark & Dawn, Birds of Prey: The Battle Within, and half of Birds of Prey: Perfect Pitch (links to my reviews). Simone would further write till issue #108 of that series and then 13 issues of another, about the same amount of issues for a second volume when we include crossovers and sundry.
- • Black Canary: Best of the Best HC
In hardcover by Tom King and Ryan Sook, coming in September, collecting the six-issue miniseries. The solicitation says, “In the vein of [King’s] hits Mister Miracle and The Vision,” which would be awesome if it’s true, though I don’t necessarily associate Canary with books so esoteric.
- • Black Lightning: The Standard TP
In paperback in August, collecting the five-issue miniseries by Brandon Thomas and Fico Ossio, tying in to Justice League Unlimited.
- • Blue Beetle: Jaime Reyes Book Three TP
This collects issues #26–36 of the first Jaime Reyes Blue Beetle series (post-Infinite Crisis); most of this is by Lilah Sturges, with contributions from Will Pfeifer and Jai Nitz. Also included are the backup stories from Booster Gold #21–29 by Sturges. A fourth volume, if DC were so inclined, could collect the 16-issue New 52 series by Tony Bedard; then there’s 18 issues of the Rebirth series to bring us up to the present. Gotta go back and see how much of this I ever read …
- • Brave and the Bold Vol. 3: Demons and Dragons (New Edition) TP
This reprint of the Mark Waid series from the late 2000s collects issues #13–16, pairing Batman and Flash Jay Garrick, Deadman and Green Arrow, Nightwing and Hawkman, and Superman and Catwoman. Also included, Brave and the Bold #181 from 1981, pairing Batman and Hawk and Dove; Flash #107 (1995), Waid’s story pairing Flash Wally West and Captain Marvel; and Waid’s Impulse #17, pairing Impulse and Zatanna. As Waid would no longer write Brave and the Bold after this volume, I wonder if DC will continue with this reprint series, though there were some team-ups with the Milestone characters (then part of the DCU) that I wouldn’t mind back in print.
- • Challengers of the Unknown TP
Billed as a companion to Justice League Unlimited, collecting the Christopher Cantwell miniseries in paperback in September.
- • DC Finest: Batman: Red Skies TP
Maybe someone can help me contextualize further, but this seems to be the final year or so of Bat-titles, leading up to Crisis on Infinite Earths (and whereabouts the Batman: Caped Crusader/Dark Knight Detective volumes pick up). Collected is the Batman story from Secret Origins #6, the Batman Annual #10, and Batman #386–400 and Detective Comics #553–567, both titles written mostly by Doug Moench and passing story elements between the two. Artist Tom Mandrake joined Moench beginning with #386 with some more mature-themed stories (the cover to Batman #399 has always seemed pretty ghastly); #386 is the first appearance of Black Mask, too. Harlan Ellison’s got a story in the book as well; Gene Colan draws some of Detective and Denys Cowan has the annual. Another cool sequence of issues demonstrating DC Finest on the right track.
- • DC Finest: Batman: The Legend of the Dark Knight TP
Batman’s Golden Age debut, collecting the original Detective Comics #27–52 and Batman #1–5.
- • DC Finest: Blue Beetle: Blue Beetle Challenges the Red Knight TP
Collects the first Charlton Comics appearances of Blue Beetle Ted Kord, student of former Blue Beetle Dan Garrett – said to be Captain Atom (1965) #83–86, Blue Beetle (1964) #1–5, Blue Beetle (1965) #1–5 and #50–54 (not sure if these are correct and trying to figure out what they are), and Charlton Bullseye #1. This seems kind of an obscure cut, though good on DC for doing that; this is an example of DC Finest getting “weird,” as some of you have asked for; I wonder what prompted this particular volume and what it signifies for the future.
- • DC Finest: Doom Patrol: The Death of the Doom Patrol! TP
Picking up from DC Finest: Doom Patrol: The World’s Strangest Heroes, this is Arnold Drake’s Doom Patrol #103–121, ending in 1968 when he killed off the team, and then Paul Kupperberg’s Showcase #94–96, introducing a new team, plus appearances in Superman Family #191–193.
- • DC Finest: Events: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part One TP
Said to collect Batman #389–391, Detective Comics #555–558, Justice League of America #244, Green Lantern #194, Wonder Woman #327, DC Comics Presents #78, Infinity, Inc. #18–19, Fury of Firestorm #41, All-Star Squadron #50–52, Crisis on Infinite Earths #1–4, the Losers Special #1, and Swamp Thing #39. The Swamp Thing issue sticks out to me in that it was not included in the Crisis on Infinite Earths Companion volumes, though it is a “red skies” issue ahead of the more overt Crisis material in issues #44–46.
- • DC Finest: Green Lantern: Earth's Other Green Lantern TP
Picking up from Green Lantern: The Defeat of Green Lantern, these are late 1960s Green Lantern stories, including Green Lantern #40–61 (Guy Gardner debuted in issue #59), Flash #168, and Brave and the Bold #69.
- • DC Finest: Hawkman: Wings Across Time TP
The Silver Age debut of Hawkman and Hawkgirl, collecting Brave and the Bold #34–36 and #42–44, Mystery in Space #87–90, Atom #7, and Hawkman #1–16. Hawkman #4 was part of the “Zatanna’s Search” crossover.
- • DC Finest: Horror: The Devil's Doorway TP
Collects late 1960s/early 1970s stories including House of Secrets #81–85, House of Mystery #180–185, Phantom Stranger #5, Witching Hour #3–7, and Unexpected #113–117. Said to be the first appearance of Abel, though I believe that credit goes to DC Special #4.
- • DC Finest: Justice League of America: The Return TP
Collecting the affectionately known “Justice League Detroit” era from the 1980s. This is said to be Justice League of America #241–261, Justice League of America Annual #3, and Infinity, Inc. #19. The Justice League of America: The Detroit Era Omnibus also has Justice League of America #233–240 and the Annual #2 – so the DC Finest volume appears to start later than the omnibus, rather than the DC Finest volume collecting the start of the omnibus with a second volume to come later. Curious. I’m less surprised this volume doesn’t have the modern look-backs JLA Classified #22–25, JSA Classified #14–16, and DC Retroactive: JLA - The '80s #1.
- • DC Finest: Static: Playing With Fire TP
Collects the debut Milestone Static series by Dwayne McDuffie, Robert Washington, and John Paul Leon, issues #1–15, as well as Superman: The Man of Steel #36, Superboy #7, and Worlds Collide #1 (some but not all of the “Worlds Collide” crossover).
- • DC Finest: Super Friends: The Fury of the Super Foes TP
Collects issues #1–26 of the Super Friends animated tie-in comic from the 1970s, with work by Nelson Bridwell and Ramona Fraddon, plus Limited Collectors' Edition #C-41 (the framing story, maybe), and Limited Collectors' Edition #46 (Alex Toth model sheets?).
- • DC Finest: Supergirl: Body and Soul TP
Reprinting most of the first two larger-issue-count collections, this is Peter David’s 1990s Supergirl #1–18 (Matrix/Linda Danvers), Showcase '96 #8, Supergirl Annual #1–2, and Supergirl Plus #1.
- • DC Finest: Superman: The Invisible Luthor TP
No contents listed, but the “Invisible Luthor” story is from the Golden Age Superman #10 in the 1940s, so this would seem to follow from DC Finest: Superman: The First Superhero.
- • DC Finest: The Spectre: The Wrath of the Spectre TP
Collects Showcase #60–61 and #64, Spectre #1–10, Brave and the Bold #72, Adventure Comics #431–440, Wrath of the Spectre #4, All-Star Squadron #27–28, and Ghosts #97–99, being Silver and Bronze Age appearances.
- • DC Finest: War: The Big Five Arrive TP
Collects 1950s stories including Our Army at War #54–57, Star Spangled War Stories #53–56, G.I. Combat #44–47, Blackhawk #108–111, Our Fighting Forces #17–20, and All-American Men of War #41–44, with art by Joe Kubert and more.
- • DC Finest: Wonder Woman: Introducing Wonder Woman TP
Wonder Woman’s Golden Age debut, including All-Star Comics #8, Sensation Comics #1–18, Wonder Woman #1–4, and Comic Cavalcade #1–2.
- • DC Horror Presents TP
Collecting the four-issue DC Horror Presents miniseries, in paperback in August. Only $9.99 according to the solicitation.
- • DC Power: Rise of the Power Company HC
Collects, at least, the DC Power: Rise of the Power Company anthology, plus the 2002 Power Company: Josiah Power one-shot by Kurt Busiek and Keith Giffen. Kind of surprised we’re not seeing a collection of Kurt Busiek and Tom Grummett’s Power Company in total.
- • DC vs. Vampires: World War V Vol. 2 HC
Issues #7–12 by Matthew Rosenberg and Otto Schmidt, in December.
- • DC X Sonic the Hedgehog TP
In paperback in September, collecting the miniseries by Ian Flynn and Adam Bryce Thomas. I know it’s a different company and different license, but now I want Justice League Meets Super Mario Brothers and the follow-up Justice League Dark and the Legend of Zelda. … Strange Metroid Adventures? I could go on. TMNT vs. Battletoads? OK, I’m done.
- • DC: The New Frontier: DC Compact Comics Edition TP
Compact Comics-size edition of the Darwyn Cooke classic; I reviewed Absolute DC: New Frontier in 2007. Coming in August.
... Lobo Duck Hunt?
- • Death of Superman: Absolute Edition HC
Note the re-placement of “Absolute” – not “Absolute Death of Superman,” but “Death of Superman: The Absolute Edition,” a hedge against Absolute Absolute Batman Vol. 1: The Zoo. Collects Superman: Man of Steel #18–19, Justice League America #69, Superman #74–75, Adventures of Superman #497, Action Comics #684, and pages from Superman: Man of Steel #17, Superman #73, Adventures of Superman #496, and Action Comics #683.
Can’t make this stuff up: the standard edition has a resealable black polybag, replicas of some of the extras from the original Superman #75, and a remastered Newstime: The Life and Death of Superman #1, plus other “new in-world artifacts.” The Direct Market edition comes in a box shaped like a tombstone, limited to 1993 copies, and with a signed copy of Dan Jurgens' original Doomsday design.
- • Doom Patrol by Keith Giffen and Matthew Clark Omnibus HC
White whale! This is a white whale! I admittedly have big gaps in my Doom Patrol reading, having mostly come to the team through the TV series and, before that, this. very. series. by the late, great Keith Giffen. Of Doom Patrol: We Who Are About to Die, I wrote, “Giffen’s Doom Patrol … is so edgy, so dynamic, and takes such great pains to acknowledge existing DC Comics history while forging new ground, as to put other such premieres completely to shame,” and I called the second collection, Doom Patrol: Brotherhood, “Nothing short of brilliant.” And then, in the lead up to Flashpoint and the New 52, DC cancelled the final collection, Doom Patrol: Fire Away.
That was 14 years ago. Suddenly, 14 years later, and this moody, gripping, funny series finally gets collected in full. It’s just a terrible shame Giffen isn’t around to see it. Included is the 2009 Doom Patrol #1–22 plus earlier appearances – DC Comics Presents #52 (Doom Patrol pencilled by Giffen), Teen Titans(2003) #32 and #34–37 (by Geoff Johns), Brave and the Bold #8 (by Mark Waid; not “Batman: Brave and the Bold” as the solicitation says), Secret Six #3–4 from Gail Simone’s original miniseries, and #30 from the series itself, and 52 Aftermath: The Four Horsemen #1–6, Giffen’s lead-in series of sorts, which I reviewed in 2010.
- • Fire & Ice: When Hell Freezes Over TP
The sequel six-issue miniseries by Joanne Starer and Stephen Byrne, coming in January.
- • The Flash by Joshua Williamson Omnibus Vol. 2 HC
Coming in September, this collects Batman #64–65, Flash #36–69, and Flash Annual #1–2. Give or take, that’s Flash Vol. 6: Cold Day in Hell, Flash Vol. 7: Perfect Storm, Flash Vol. 8: Flash War, Flash Vol. 9: Reckoning of the Forces, “The Price” from Heroes in Crisis: The Price and Other Stories, and Flash Vol. 10: The Greatest Trick of All.
- • The Flash Vol. 4: Bad Moon Rising TP
In December, Simon Spurrier’s Flash #20–25 and Flash 2025 Annual #1.
- • Green Arrow Vol. 4: Fresh Water Kills TP
Collects Green Arrow #17–24 in paperback in September, with Joshua Williamson handing off to Chris Condon.
- • Green Lantern by Robert Venditti Omnibus Vol. 1 HC
Robert Venditti had the truly unenviable task of following Geoff Johns on Green Lantern and really acquitted himself well, with a run that went everywhere from the environmental affects of limited Lantern power to encounters with the New Gods and more. This is said to collect Green Lantern Corps #21–34, Green Lantern #21–34, Green Lantern: New Guardians #23–24, Green Lantern Annual #2, Green Lantern Corps Annual #2, Green Lantern: New Guardians #23–24, Secret Origins #3 and #9, Red Lanterns #24, and Green Lantern #23.1: Relic. But, I’m skeptical that Green Lantern Corps is actually that many issues; GLC #24 and #31 to #33 or #34 would be more my guess. Anyway, this seems to end before the “Godhead” crossover, so something like Green Lantern Vol. 4: Dark Days and Green Lantern Vol. 5: Test of Wills. Coming in October.
- • Green Lantern by Robert Venditti Omnibus Vol. 2 HC
Coming in January (and good to see DC pre-scheduling entire omnibus runs), this is Robert Venditti’s final New 52 proper Green Lantern storyline, the “Godhead” team-up with the New Gods, and then Venditti’s two DC You volumes where Hal Jordan seemingly goes rogue. That’s Red Lanterns #35–37, Green Lantern: New Guardians #35–37, Green Lantern Corps #35–40, Green Lantern #35–52, Green Lantern Annual #3–4, Sinestro #6–8, Green Lantern: Futures End #1, Green Lantern Corps: Futures End #1, and Green Lantern/New Gods: Godhead #1, being the Green Lantern Vol. 6: The Life Equation, Green Lantern Vol. 7: Renegade, and Green Lantern Vol. 8: Reflections collections.
- • Green Lantern Compendium One: Rebirth TP
If you ever thought DC might run out of ways to repackage Geoff Johns' Green Lantern, here’s another (awfully tempting) version that includes various other Green Lantern shenanigans around the DCU at the time – how far does this go, you ask? So far as to also include Howard Chaykin’s Guy Gardner: Collateral Damage miniseries, is how far this goes. Contents are Green Lantern #1–17, Green Lantern: Rebirth #1–6, Green Lantern Secret Files 2005 #1, Rann/Thanagar War #1–6, Green Lantern Corps #1–6, Green Lantern Corps: Recharge #1–5, Guy Gardner: Collateral Damage #1–2, Ion #1–12, and Rann/Thanagar War: Infinite Crisis Special #1, so up to Green Lantern: Wanted.
- • Green Lantern Corps Vol. 1: New World Rising TP
Issues #1–5 by Jeremy Adams, Morgan Hampton, and Fernando Pasarin, coming in November. L
- • Green Lantern Vol. 4: Civil Corps TP
Wonderfully complete, the DC All In tie-in by Jeremy Adams, collecting issues #16–18, Green Lantern: Civil Corps Special, and Green Lantern: Fractured Spectrum Special. In paperback in August.
- • Harley Quinn Vol. 2 TP
Coming in January, issues #50–55 by Elliott Kalan.
- • Harley Quinn: Wild At Heart: DC Compact Comics Edition TP
What’s called “Wild at Heart” here is the first 13 issues (plus the Zero Month issue) of Amanda Conner and Jimmy Palmiotti’s New 52 Harley Quinn run, being Harley Quinn Vol. 1: Hot in the City and Harley Quinn Vol. 2: Power Outage, give or take the “Future’s End” issue and Comic-Con special. The solicitation says this volume “spans [Palmiotti and Conner’s] run with the character,” which it really does not, but the characters and general premise ought be familiar to Harley Quinn Max series fans. The #0 issue has art by Walter Simonson, Darwyn Cooke, Jim Lee, John Timms, and more.
- • The Hawkman Omnibus by Geoff Johns (2025 Edition) HC
Collects Hawkman #1–25, Hawkman Secret Files #1, and JSA #56–58. That’s Hawkman: Endless Flight, Hawkman: Allies & Enemies, Hawkman: Wings of Fury, and JSA: Black Reign.
- • Hitman by Garth Ennis and John McCrea Omnibus Vol. 2 HC
Collects Hitman #34–60, Hitman/Lobo: That Stupid Bastich #1, a story from Superman 80-Page Giant #1, Justice League/Hitman #1–2, a story from Convergence: Harley Quinn #2 (lead in to …), All-Star Section Eight #1–6, Sixpack and Dogwelder: Hard Travelin' Heroz #1–6 and a story from DC: The Doomed and the Damned #1.
- • House of Mystery: The Bronze Age Omnibus Vol. 1 (New Edition) HC
Collects issues #174–200 of the series, with work by Len Wein, Alex Toth, Gerry Conway, Bernie Wrightson, Marv Wolfman, Jack Kirby, Gil Kane, Jack Oleck, Neal Adams, Wally Wood, Al Williamson, Sergio Aragonés, and more.
- • The Human Target by Tom King and Greg Smallwood: The Deluxe Edition HC
Fin-a-lly! All 12 issues in one volume, coming in November.
- • Injustice: Gods Among Us Compendium Two TP
Collects Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Four #1–12, Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Four Annual #1, Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Five #1–20, Injustice: Gods Among Us: Year Five Annual #1, and Injustice: Ground Zero #1–12, being the end of the Brian Buccellato run. I reviewed Year Four and Year Five as part of a big Injustice read last year.
- • The Invisibles Compendium TP
The whole of Grant Morrison’s series in one volume, being The Invisibles #1–25, The Invisibles Vol. 2 #1–22, and The Invisibles Vol. 3 #1–12 (this should be #12–1, I understand). Zach King reviewed all seven original collections of The Invisibles right here on this site in 2011.
- • JLA Earth 2 Deluxe Edition (2025 Edition) HC
New printing of the Deluxe-size edition of the Grant Morrison/Frank Quitely graphic novel.
- • Jonah Hex: All-Star Western Omnibus HC
No contents listed by the Justin Gray/Jimmy Palmiotti New 52 series ran 34 issues. I know I read at least All-Star Western: Guns and Gotham but maybe never reviewed it?
- • JSA Vol. 1: Infinity Inc. vs. the Justice Society HC
- • JSA Vol. 1: Infinity Inc. vs. the Justice Society TP
First volume of the DC All In series by Jeff Lemire, collecting issues #1–6 in hardcover in September.
- • Justice League by Scott Snyder and James Tynion IV Omnibus Vol. 2 HC
Collects Justice League #19–39, Batman Who Laughs #1–7, Batman Who Laughs: The Grimm Knight #1, DC’s Year of the Villain Special #1, and Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen #1–4, leading in to Dark Nights: Death Metal. My reviews: Justice League Vol. 4: The Sixth Dimension, Justice League Vol. 5: Justice/Doom War, Batman Who Laughs, and Year of the Villain: Hell Arisen. Interesting that the solicited cover of the omnibus shows an issue from “Sixth Dimension” and not “Justice/Doom War”; the Sixth Dimension collection was a high point of the series, but surely Justice/Doom War speaks more to the meat of this book.
- • Justice League Dark: The New 52 Compendium TP
Justice League Dark #0–40, Justice League Dark Annual #1–2, Justice League Dark: Futures End #1, Constantine #5, #9–12, I, Vampire #7–8, Justice League #22–23, Justice League of America #6–7, The New 52: Free Comic Book Day Special Edition #1, Trinity of Sin: Pandora #1–3 and #6–9, and Trinity of Sin: Phantom Stranger #11, #14, and #17. What we’ve got here is the New 52 JLD series by Peter Milligan, Jeff Lemire, and J.M. DeMatteis, plus crossovers and parts of the Trinity War and Forever Evil: Blight; I’m not sure if there’s more to be included or some of the more tertiary tie-ins are excluded.
- • Justice League of America: The Nail: The Complete Deluxe Edition (2026 Edition) HC
Alan Davis' Elseworlds stories The Nail and Another Nail, detailing a world without Superman.
- • Justice League Unlimited Vol. 1: Into the Inferno HC
- • Justice League Unlimited Vol. 1: Into the Inferno TP
The first six issues of the Mark Waid/Dan Mora series, arriving in hardcover and paperback in early August, same day as Absolute Batman Vol. 1: The Zoo. Big month!
- • Justice League Unlimited/World's Finest: We Are Yesterday HC

- • Justice League: The Atom Project TP
In paperback in October, the six-issue miniseries tying in to Justice League Unlimited by John Ridley, Ryan Parrott, and Mike Perkins.
- • Metamorpho: The Element Man TP
In paperback in September, the six-issue miniseries by Al Ewing and Steve Lieber.
- • Milestone Universe: The Shadow Cabinet TP
Collects Milestone Universe: The Shadow Cabinet #1–4 and Milestone 30th Anniversary Special by Joe Illidge with Darryl Banks, Atagun Ilhan, and Ray-Anthony Height, following from the Icon vs. Hardware miniseries.
- • The New Gods Vol. 1: The Falling Sky HC
- • The New Gods Vol. 1: The Falling Sky TP
In hardcover and paperback in August by Ram V and Evan Cagle. Said to collect issues #1–6, “the first half of the 12-issue saga”; I hadn’t realized this was a miniseries.
- • New History of the DC Universe HC
In hardcover in January, the much anticipated four-issue miniseries from Mark Waid.
- • The New Teen Titans: The Judas Contract Deluxe Edition (New Edition) HC
The draw is the deluxe size, but the contents are from among the most limited “Judas Contract” collections, just New Teen Titans #39-#40, Tales of the Teen Titans #41–44 and the Annual #3. Coming in November.
- • Nightwing Vol. 2 TP

New printing of the three-issue miniseries by Warren Ellis and Cully Hamner.
- • Red Hood: Outlaws Volume Four TP
Collecting episodes #34–46 of the WEBTOON series, formatted for print.
- • Red Hood: Outlaws Volume Five TP
Episodes #47–56, the finale of the WEBTOON series.
- • Resurrection Man: Quantum Karma TP
In January, the six-issue miniseries by Ram V and Anand RK.
- • Robin and Batman: Jason Todd HC
In November, the three-issue sequel miniseries by Jeff Lemire and Dustin Nguyen. I reviewed the first book, Robin and Batman in 2022, saying, “If you at all suspect you’re already versed in the finer points of Dick Grayson’s origins, chances are this book might not hold much for you.” I wonder if a take on Jason Todd might be better, given more leeway in filling in the details of his origin.
- • Sandman Mystery Theatre Compendium Two TP
Should be some pleased readers out there, as this completes Matt Wagner’s Sandman Mystery Theatre with issues #37–70, plus a story from Vertigo: Winter’s Edge #1–2. Coming in August.
- • Scooby Apocalypse Omnibus HC
The whole 36-issue series by Keith Giffen, J.M. DeMatteis, Howard Porter, and company, coming in September.
- • Secret Six by Gail Simone Omnibus Vol. 2 HC
I am surprised, I admit, to see that this collects issues from Gail Simone’s second Secret Six series (Friends in Low Places and The Gauntlet), both of which I found less powerful than any of the first series. Still, complete is complete, and so this is complete with Secret Six (2008) #17–36 (ending with Secret Six: The Darkest Hour), Secret Six (2014) #1–14, Suicide Squad #67, Action Comics #897, Doom Patrol #19, and the backup from Convergence: Wonder Woman #2.
- • Secret Six TP
In December, the six-issue miniseries by Nicole Maines and Stephen Segovia, spinning off of Absolute Power.
- • Shazam! Vol. 4: Welcome to Our Overlords TP
The final collection of the series that started during Dawn of DC. This is issues #17–21 by Josie Campbell with Mike Norton, in paperback in October.
- • The Sheriff of Babylon TP
I reviewed Tom King’s Sheriff of Babylon in 2020, a riveting police procedural and crime thriller. This edition is said to include a new introduction by King and afterword by artist Mitch Gerads.
- • The Spectre by John Ostrander and Tom Mandrake Omnibus Vol. 1 HC
If ever an omnibus was overdue, this is it. The first half of John Ostrander’s brilliant, beloved Spectre run, with ghostly art mostly by Tom Mandrake. No word on a glow-in-the-dark cover, but it should have one. Dare we hope for new paperbacks to follow? Collects Spectre #1–31 and #0, and material from Who’s Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe #21, coming in October, naturally. The series ran to issue #62 plus a “Year One” annual.
- • Super Sons: The Complete Collection Book Two TP
It’s a running gag how DC keeps re-collecting Super Sons and adding more material to it; this time, I rather wish they’d stuck in Peter Tomasi’s yet-uncollected 2022 Superman and Robin special, but it’s not listed. Appears to collect Super Sons #15–16, Adventures of Super Sons #1–12, Challenge of the Super Sons #1–7, and a story from Robin 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular #1.
- • Supergirl: Universe Ends TP
I had worried that we wouldn’t see Mariko Tamaki’s recent Supergirl special and backup stories collected, so I’m pleased to see them here, and billed under DC All In, too. This is Action Comics #1070–1081 and Supergirl Special #1, in paperback in September.
- • Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow: DC Compact Comics TP
Great story; I reviewed Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow in 2022. How all that narration will reprint at this smaller size, I don’t know. Obviously Compact Comics is working for DC with all the new volumes coming up.
- • Superman in the Seventies (New Edition) TP
New printing of the collection of Superman #233, #247, #248, #249, #270, #271, #276, #286, and #287; Action Comics #484; DC Comics Presents #14; Superman’s Pal, Jimmy Olsen #133; and Superman’s Girl Friend, Lois Lane #106, with an introduction by Christopher Reeve.
- • Superman Vol. 5 TP
In December, Superman #24–27 and the Superman: Lex Luthor Special #1 by Joshua Williamson.
- • Superman: Action Comics by Dan Jurgens Omnibus Vol. 1 HC
Based on the title alone, I wondered how well this would read, being half the stories semi-connected with the parallel Peter Tomasi run on Superman. But seeing now the contents – Action Comics #957–976, Superman: Lois and Clark #1–8, Superman #18–19, Justice League #52, Convergence: Superman #1–2, Superman: Rebirth #1, and DC Universe: Rebirth #1 – there’s a framing of this as following the pre-Flashpoint Superman into the Rebirth continuity (ending just after Superman Reborn) that might be quite interesting to read. Coming in August.
- • Superman: Action Comics: Superstars Vol. 2 TP
Coming in November and collecting Action Comics #1082–1086. These are arcs by John Ridley and G. Willow Wilson, concluding “Superstars” ahead of Mark Waid’s new run.
- • Superman: Our Worlds at War Omnibus Volume 1: Prelude to War! HC
A real inflection point for Jeph Loeb and company’s Superman run, this volume – different from two volumes and a single “complete” volume before it – starts much earlier, collecting Loeb’s Superman #151–154, #159, #165, and #170, ahead of the usual story start in #171. Also Adventures of Superman #576, #586, and #592-#593; Action Comics #763, #777, and #779–780; Superman: The Man of Steel #98, #109, and #114–115; Superboy #89; Wonder Woman #171; Superman Y2K #1; Superman: Metropolis Secret Files #1; Superman: Lex 2000 #1; Superman: Our Worlds at War Secret Files #1; Young Justice: Our Worlds at War #1; Batman: Our Worlds at War #1; and Green Lantern: Our Worlds at War #1.
- • Superman: The Triangle Era Omnibus Vol. 2 HC
Said to collect Superman #64–77, Adventures of Superman #487–499, Action Comics #674–686, Superman: The Man of Steel #9–21; Justice League America #69, Superman: Legacy of Superman #1, Supergirl/Team Luthor Special #1, and Newstime: The Life and Death of Superman #1, and yes, that means “Death of Superman.” I went into more detail about the controversial contents of Superman: The Triangle Era Omnibus Vol. 2 last week.
- • Swamp Thing by Len Wein and Kelley Jones: Deluxe Edition HC
This is somewhere between Swamp Thing: The Dead Don’t Sleep, which I reviewed in 2021, and Swamp Thing: The Roots of Terror, being essentially modern Swamp Thing written by Len Wein, drawn by Kelley Jones, or both. Collects Swamp Thing #94 and #100, Batman #521–522, Convergence: Swamp Thing #1–2, Swamp Thing (2016) #1–6 (“Dead Don’t Sleep”), and a story from Swamp Thing Winter Special #1.
- • Swamp Thing by Rick Veitch Book Two: Synchronicity TP
Coming in October. As with the first volume, the solicitation talks about “the interweaving narrative between Swamp Thing and Hellblazer restored,” collecting Swamp Thing #74–79, Swamp Thing Annual #4, Hellblazer #6–12, and material from Who’s Who Update 1988 #3–4.
- • Titans Vol. 4: Terminated TP
Coming in November, issues #22–27 by John Layman.
- • Two-Face: Trial Separation TP
In paperback in September, collecting the six-issue miniseries by Christian Ward and Fabio Veras.
- • V For Vendetta: DC Compact Comics Edition TP
The 10-issue miniseries in Compact Comics format.
- • The Wake (New Edition) TP
New collection of the 10-issue aquatic horror tale by Scott Snyder and Sean Murphy. I reviewed The Wake in 2014.
- • Warlord by Mike Grell Omnibus Vol. 1 HC
This is an interesting one; I feel like DC uses the Warlord characters a lot but modern series have struggled, so good to see the property getting some love. This is 1st Issue Special #8, Warlord #1–50, and Amazing World of DC Comics #12. Grell wrote the title into the issue #70s. Coming in November.
- • We3: DC Compact Comics Edition TP
The three-issue miniseries by Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely.
- • Wednesday Comics (2025 Edition)
In hardcover in June. I’ve never read this and I realize that’s something I should do one day.
- • Wonder Woman by John Byrne Omnibus HC
This collects Byrne’s Wonder Woman #101–136 and Wonder Woman Annual #5–6 from the previous three Wonder Woman by John Byrne books, plus stories from Adventures of Superman #440 and Action Comics #600 (earlier in Byrne’s Super-titles run), Adventure Comics 80-Page Giant #1, Sergio Aragonés Destroys DC #1, and Wonder Woman Secret Files & Origins #1.
- • Wonder Woman by Phil Jimenez Omnibus (2025 Edition) HC
Includes Wonder Woman #164–188 (material from the Paradise Lost and Paradise Found collections), Wonder Woman: Our Worlds at War #1, GirlFrenzy: Wonder Woman: Donna Troy, and DC Special: The Return of Donna Troy #1–4 by fan-favorite Phil Jimenez and company.
- • Wonder Woman: Blood and Guts: DC Compact Comics Edition TP
I expect this is issues #0–12 from the New 52 series by Brian Azzarello, Cliff Chiang, and company.
- • Wonder Woman: The Silver Age Omnibus Vol. 3 HC
Issues #150–177 from the 1960s.
- • Y: The Last Man Book One: DC Compact Comics Edition TP
Compact Comics collection of Y: The Last Man #1–10, being the Y: The Last Man: Unmanned and Y: The Last Man: Cycles collections.
- • Young Justice Omnibus Vol. 2 HC
Collects Peter David and company’s Young Justice #20–55, Robin #101, Superboy #91 and #99, Impulse #78 and #85, Secret Files & Origins Guide to the DCU 2000 #1, Young Justice: Our Worlds at War #1, JLA/JSA Secret Files #1, and Titans/Young Justice: Graduation Day #1–3 (ending on kind of a dour note, eh?).
- • Zatanna HC
- • Zatanna TP
In hardcover and paperback in early November, the first six issues of the new series by Jamal Campbell.
I haven't the time to list everything I'm getting from this gargantuan list, but I'll just hit a few highpoints/themes
ReplyDelete*I'm debating how all-in to be on All-In - yes to JLU, Question, New Gods, and the Absolute line, but I'm unclear on how much more I'll want - Challengers and Atom Project both have some allure, Metamorpho and Black Lightning will need some positive reviews but I'm not saying no - there are a lot of comics to read and only so many hours in a day
*I'm getting Triangle v2 and we've discussed that already
*I didn't pick up Venditti's run on GL - is it worthwhile to grab both omnis? And does the story come to a conclusion of sorts before Rebirth, or will I suddenly be needing them to put out a HJ&tGLC omni, too?
*DC Finest - just Supergirl for sure (I've read a smattering of PAD's run, but never in a consistent fashion, so this will be a fun one) and maybe Batman Red Skies.
*Big no on Superman:OWAW omni - beyond the double dip with the first City of Tomorrow Compendium (and a continued double dip if that compendium line continues), I don't think that story warrants a multi-omni investment.
*I have to check to see if I own the Demon Trilogy already. I feel like I do, but I didn't see it where I thought it *should* be on the shelves.
*The GL Rebirth Compedium is a pass, but it's incredibly tempting. I had hoped they'd continue the Kyle Rayner line through to his time on Ion, but that might not happen for another 5-10 years . . .
*While on the subject of GL, whiter our Grant Morrison omnibus? If they're looking for entirely stupid and expensive ideas, give us Morrison's run with Geoffrey Thorne's and add in Far Sector in one giant post-Rebirth, pre-Dark Crisis GL extravaganza
I forgot that Venditti’s run further continued into Hal Jordan and the Green Lantern Corps. I can say that the end of this, Green Lantern Vol. 8: Reflections, does wrap itself up before HJ&GLC, though it’s cliffhanger-ish? I guess having the Rebirth issue of HJ&GLC in that trade helped. Interesting; now I’m looking at DC soliciting just two of the Venditti books and wondering if a third is planned or not … Venditti did another 50(!) issues there.
DeleteA "giant post-Rebirth, pre-Dark Crisis GL extravaganza” book sounds good. Am I the only one who was not so moved by Morrison’s Green Lantern? Admittedly a lot of the references were over my head, but it continually felt like a joke I wasn’t getting ...
Every time I see my name in one of these solicitation posts, I feel like Keaton in Batman Returns, brooding in my study until the Bat-Signal lights up... yes, that looks to be a straight reprint of B&R Adventures, Vol. 1. It's curious, given that B&RA just got an omnibus, while Superman Adventures and Batman Beyond got compendium paperbacks. But hey, this stuff is evergreen.
ReplyDeleteIs there a rights issue with "Batman '66 Meets the Legion of Super-Heroes"? It's never been collected in any omnibus volume, and now the compendium paperback omits it, too. Unless they're saving it for a crossover compendium with Archie, Green Hornet, Man from UNCLE, et al. (Though that seems like a rights nightmare!)
Interesting break for the Morrison Batman TPB. I wonder if Vol. 3 will remap "Batman and Robin" with "The Return of Bruce Wayne" or if it will keep the omnibus hardcover's mapping. I wonder, then, where Vol. 3 will end... somewhere in the middle of Batman Inc, leaving a fourth volume to finish the set?
Meanwhile, DC Compact and DC Finest are just killing it. The former is terrific for gift-giving; the latter is building out my own veritable archival library.
And finally, I will echo Bob's cry for a "Green Lantern by Grant Morrison." At 28 issues, that's an omnibus of its own without needing to add more. (The Batman by Grants were about as long, at least.)
Regarding Morrison's Batman books, I'd guess that they'll go through Batman Inc #5 - I think that maps out to 21 issues each for v3 and 19 for v4. Obviously they could pick a different spot (any of 5, 6, or 7 is about a split) since all of them are equivalently not a stopping point . . .
DeleteI forgot to mention above, the comedic timing on "Lobo Duck Hunt" is perfect
@Zach — Cue the Danny Elfman theme ...
Delete@Bob — Thanks! I'll ruin the joke with explanation by saying I had that in there when I was pre-writing some of these listings and DC x Sonic was listed before DC: The New Frontier, then had to be sure to edit out the joke when DC solicited New Frontier Compact for June without DC x Sonic ahead of it (so I had the punchline but not the setup). Which is to say, that joke was in there, taken out, then put back in, so I'm glad it all finally came together! 😮💨
So happy about Sandman Mystery Theater. Looks like I'll have to sell my Spectre by Ostrander trades, unless they also plan to keep those going (I'm assuming not?)
ReplyDeleteWe *sometimes* see omnibuses become cut-down paperbacks again, but there's been less of that lately and I wouldn't bet on the issue count matching to the old collections. But I'd be happy to see the trades continue, too! I still think DC is missing out not giving this a glow-in-the-dark element like some of the trades and issues had.
DeleteSandman Mystery Theatre Compendium Two, yay! Also, having just reread all of Morrison's superhero work at DC Comics, finishing by Green Lantern and his Pride special, I can say that his Green Lantern makes a lot more sense after reading Final Crisis and Multiversity. Quite a special interpretation of the GL mythos that can only be done in comics. Plus Liam Sharp *head explode*.
DeleteStill waiting for a Morrison Green Lantern collection that makes sense. Not a bunch of slim hardcovers. Huge Morrison fan (though I honestly don't know what is happening half the time.) This is one of the major DC things from him I haven't read, besides his JLA run.
DeleteI would heartily recommend Morrison's Lantern if you are looking for out of the box superhero fare. All the GL tropes are there with a wink to the past and a firm looking forward to the future. An overlooked gem in Morrison's superhero work.
ReplyDeleteI hope dc collects the Justin Gray and Jimmy Palmiotti Jonah Hex run in an omnibus or compendium. That series is very underappreciated and overlooked.
ReplyDeleteReally strong, rich set of solicitations, with so many interesting stuff coming up. Sandman Mystery Theater, second Triangle Era omnibus and that Batman: Red Skies book are definite highlights for me - I'm especially excited by the last one. I'm huge fan of Moench Batbooks since the 90s but never read his 80s stuff (never got around to that Tales of the Batman Gene Colan collections when they were still in print). I hope line will continue to go strong and we'll see more DC Finest books exploring both late 70s/early to mid 80s, late Bronze to Copper Age stuff - holding out hope for some less marquee names collctions, your Blue Devils, Amethysts, titles like that.
ReplyDelete
